Yoga - Asanas - Standing Poses

Utkatasana - Powerful Pose

Utkatasana

Be barefoot. Start in Tadasana, the basic standing pose. Lift your arms and keep them straight and parallel to each other, palms facing each other. Keeping your heels on the floor throughout the pose, bend your knees. Lift and extend the arms and torso. Keep your body as vertical as possible. Soften your gaze, quiet your hearing, relax your jaw. Breathe evenly and comfortably through your nose.

To come out of the pose, straighten your legs and exhale your arms down to Tadasana, the standing pose at the beginning.
